I grew up in Bayfield, Colorado and left as soon as I turned 18. San Francisco, San Diego and Tijuana is where I spent the last decade. I did the nanny thing for a bit. I went to college for four years. I worked as a journalist for six.
Now I’m back in the Four Corners region. I found the man I want to marry and we’re doing the whole settle down thing. This blog will hopefully keep me sane and entertained. I hope it keeps you entertained, too.

Hi, just stumbled on your blog. My husband & I moved here from Mexico City about 1.5 years ago to do the settle down thing as well (dog, check; kids, check). We both work for the Herald now (me words, he video). My first reporting gig was on the border (McAllen). I imagine we’ll cross paths at some point & we’ll have to compare notes.
